The Letter For The Better

I could hear the postman’s motor bike getting closer. I heard the post ‘swoosh’ through the letter chute. I raced eagerly to see if there was anything for me. On the top of the pile I could see my name, Miss Bella Haigh. I ripped open the envelope and read…
Dear Miss Haigh,
You are selected in the symphony orchestra of Geelong. Would you please contact us at your earliest convenience?
Yours sincerely,
 GPAC Geelong
As I read the contents of the letter, I was aware of the smile on my face.  My dream had come true!

It was Maths lesson. I was almost asleep when I heard the bell ring. Recess finally! I raced to the playground. I was on the top platform when I saw Dave climbing up to me.
“No, not Dave,” I thought.
We had hated each other since Prep so when he started climbing up I knew he wanted a fight.
He said, “I know you cheated on the math test, I saw you.”
I don’t know what came over me but suddenly I had him in my grip and shoved him off the playground. Why would I do that?

Exploding Endings

I was out on the deck overlooking the bush, sipping my ice-cold lemon lime and bitters. The bubbles were tingling on my tongue. I was regularly checking the time, because I was meeting friends at the beach at three o’clock. It was still only one. Why does time go so slowly when you’re waiting for something exciting!? Suddenly I saw a burst of flames break out from one of the eucalyptus trees. It had exploded from the heat! The fire was spreading all around it, inching closer and closer to my house…

My Exceptional Holiday-Bella

If I had to use one word to describe my holiday it would be ‘exceptional’ and you are about to find out why…
To start off my exceptional holiday we drove all the way to Victor harbor in South Australia it was a 10-hour drive but we had so much fun while we were over there tasting billions of cheeses and fudges.
We came home about a week later to our house in Anglesea and the rest of my exceptional holiday was spent mountain biking, surfing and spending time with family.
Time with family means everything to me!
