My Awful Mistake
I strolled up to the building by the river, where the cooking show was being filmed. I walked up the stairs and popped on my apron. I waited until we could begin; the longer I waited, the more nervous I became. I started to cook a steak, with mashed potatoes and gravy. An hour had passed. I was putting my dish together - the cooked steak and its accompaniments. Time was up; I was called to present my dish. I put my plate down on the table and the judges cut into it. “It’s way too pink,” exclaimed the judge. I was devastated!
